PRESIDENT AND
CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
At EllisDon, we believe construction is more than the projects we deliver every day: it’s about creating the spaces where people live, learn, heal, and connect. Every project we undertake is an opportunity to strengthen the communities we serve and leave a positive mark on the built environment for generations to come.
As a construction services company, our role extends far beyond the job site. We are builders of opportunity: we build robust communities, provide quality jobs, support local businesses, and help cities grow in resilient, sustainable, and inclusive ways. The structures we deliver reflect our values and our commitment to our people and our planet.
In the past year, we have deepened our commitment to responsible construction services delivery. We have renewed our approach to people, culture, and communities; reaffirmed our commitment to inclusive diversity; advanced quality, safety and well-being on our sites; reduced waste through smarter construction and material reuse; strengthened our relations with Indigenous peoples; and partnered with community organizations to support workforce development and education. We are also dedicated to reducing our carbon impact and minimizing our environmental impact.
While we are proud of the measurable progress we’ve made, we’re even more proud of the culture of passion and purpose driving it.
We continue to advance climate and environmental stewardship, and are working to reduce our carbon footprint through smarter design, efficient construction practices, and responsible material use.
We are also investing in the employee experience, ensuring our people have the tools, training, and support to thrive — because safe, engaged, and empowered employees are the foundation of everything we build. We are proud to foster a culture of inclusive diversity, where every voice is valued and opportunities are accessible to all.
Similarly, our ongoing work in Indigenous relations reflects our respect for the land on which we build and our dedication to meaningful partnerships that support reconciliation and shared prosperity.
Nothing matters more than health and safety: the cornerstone of our operations and our deepest moral obligation. We strive to lead our industry in keeping every worker, partner, and community member safe each day.
At the same time, we remain deeply engaged in community engagement initiatives, giving back through volunteering, mentorship, partnerships, and advancing affordable housing initiatives that make a tangible difference in people’s lives.
Finally, our commitment to strong governance ensures that our decisions are transparent, ethical, and accountable to all stakeholders. It’s how we ensure that our growth benefits not just our business, but society as a whole.
Sustainability and social impact are no longer separate from the business of building; they are the business. We are part of an industry that quite literally shapes the world around us, and we take that responsibility seriously. Whether it’s through greener infrastructure, equitable employment, or resilient design, construction, and maintenance, we aim to ensure that what we build today supports a thriving tomorrow.
Thank you to our employees, partners, and clients who make this mission possible. Together, we are building more than projects. We are building better communities, better nations, and a better future for all of us.
