Inclusive Candidate Experience: EllisDon is committed to an open, inclusive, and accommodating recruitment process from application to final interview. We offer flexible options, such as phone and video interviews, to ensure accessibility and respect for individual needs. Every EllisDon recruiter has completed unbiased hiring training to promote fairness, mitigate bias, and support equitable decision-making at every stage.
Building a Diverse Workforce: Our recruitment strategies focus on fostering diversity and inclusion through targeted outreach, early-talent engagement, and strong partnerships. We’ve expanded postings on Indigenous-focused platforms and deepened campus engagement through university partnerships, career fairs, and our National Campus Community Day—a Canada-wide event connecting co-op students and interns with EllisDon leaders for professional development and networking.
Supporting Newcomer Talent: Recognizing the value of internationally trained professionals, EllisDon partners with TRIEC (Toronto Region Immigrant Employment Council) and Access Employment to support skilled newcomers to Canada. Together, we hosted a national networking event for internationally trained engineers, connecting them with industry leaders, community partners, and career opportunities across the construction sector.
