The Skilled Trades Exploration and Readiness (“STEAR”) Program is an EllisDon initiative delivered in partnership with the York Region School Board. It introduces students to a variety of trades through skill-building workshops and hands-on learning. Since its inception, the program has maintained a 90% completion rate, hosting five school events that have provided high school students with credit-earning opportunities alongside practical experience. Looking ahead, EllisDon will continue to expand STEAR to new schools and regions, creating sustainable pathways for youth to explore and succeed in construction-related careers.
